I normally do not feel compelled to post random things out of the blue. However, I decided to give the “My Football Tracker” feature on my Time Warner DVR tonight and I must say it is quite impressive. It allows you to track up to 25 players at time right on your TV. No need to keep your laptop up while watching NFL on Sundays. This is perfect for couch potatoes like myself that enjoy utilizing the full sofa while taking in the Cowboys on a lazy afternoon but want to keep abreast of the fantasy football scores.

What’s cool is that you can choose to have a ticker run the bottom length of the screen with all the stats of your selected players. If that is too intrusive you can just activate the “scoring alert” feature which will let you know when your player scores a point.

The only thing that would take this to a new level would be to allow input of the actual “scoring” rules for your individual league. That way you could keep real time status of yours and your opponent’s team. Now this is what I want in interactive TV. Thank you Time Warner.
